What You’ll Do

·       Process hundreds of yards of gold-bearing material

·       Split the recovered gold equally among participants

·       Run high-volume dry washers like The Beast and Bert

·       Learn real mining and clean-up techniques from experts

·       Enjoy life at LDMA’s historic Duisenburg Camp—a true desert mining outpost

Event Highlights

·       4 full days of gold mining and camping

·       Small group: only 12 participants

·       Eligibility: Open to LDMA Members & Non Members

·       Camping: Dry camping included (tents & RVs welcome)

·       Meals:

o   Breakfast: Coffee & pastries (Wed–Sat)

o   Lunch: Provided daily (Wed–Sat)

o   Dinner: On your own

 

What to Expect

·       Real desert mining—dust, sun, and serious gold

·       Expert instruction and heavy equipment (when available)

·       No limit on gold you can find—the more you dig, the more you take home

·       Shared cleanup sessions and evening celebrations around camp

 

Physical Requirements

This is a working event—expect manual labor in desert conditions.
Participants work at their own pace, but it may not be suitable for those with physical limitations.

 

What to Bring

Personal Gear:

·       Photo ID / LDMA Card

·       Water, snacks, weather-ready clothing

·       Rugged shoes or boots, sunscreen, dust mask, jumpsuit

Mining Equipment:

·       Shovel, rake, 10+ buckets

·       Gloves, folding chair, EZ Up canopy

·       Classifiers and gold pans
